A chemical peel is a cosmetic treatment that involves the application of a chemical solution to the skin, which causes it to exfoliate by shedding layers. This process leads to the regeneration of new skin cells, resulting in smoother, younger-looking skin. Chemical peels are commonly used to treat a variety of skin conditions, including acne, wrinkles, and sun damage. They can be performed on the face and neck, and are available in different strengths – ranging from mild to deep. The type of chemical peel used depends on the desired results and the individual’s skin type. The first step is to book a consultation at our Orange County office before undergoing a chemical peel to determine the most suitable treatment plan for your skin.
Chemical peels offer several skin benefits including:
Improved Skin Texture
Reduced Fine Lines
Reduced Acne Scars
